As Historic Preservation Specialist, Donna is involved through all phases of work on historic properties. Her primary responsibilities include project management, building pathology, research, condition assessments, repair treatments options, and implementing design and facility upgrades to work with the current building program without comprising the integrity of the historic fabric. Donna is interconnected with the network of regional preservation professionals which is critical when pulling together project consultants and seeking out solutions to atypical building issues.
Donna has the unique skills and experience to work on all types of historic structures ranging from 50 to 250 years old. Many of these projects include utilization of Historic Tax Credits and National Park Service and Wisconsin Historical Society review.
Services under her scope include planning, design guidelines, materials testing, Historic Structures Reports, tax credit applications stabilization plans, restoration plans, documentation, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration. Donna is developing a speciality in historic masonry restoration and actively consults with Marion Restoration (a masonry conservation contractor) and U.S. Heritage Group.
