St. Sebastian Parish Campus
Milwaukee, WI
The St. Sebastian Parish Campus master plan will serve as a working document to help the parish determine their needs for the next millennium. Through a process of listening and interpreting the needs of the various groups involved in this process, we concluded the following: There is an urgent need to create a cohesive campus, unify the school and church, establish needs and locations for additional space, increase usage of common spaces, improve wayfinding, provide handicapped accessibility and improve security while being sensitive to historical issues.

The master plan explored several solutions for the campus, including remodeling the existing Convent, removing the Convent and adding a new Rectory, and finally, removing both the Convent and Rectory and adding a new addition. Since the Convent and Rectory would be costly to renovate, did not allow for coherent unification of the various buildings and were determined not to have historical significance, we recommended that both the Convent and Rectory be removed. The historic NeoGothic Church (1926) and elements of the Mediterranean Revival Rectory (1925) would be preserved and attached to new construction that unifies the campus.
