San Buenas is a community offering an active lifestyle of golf, tennis, surfing, hiking, fishing, and more in a beautiful coastal village setting. Residents and visitors will have access to a natural environment known to be one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world.

One of the core values of San Buenas is to preserve the remnant tropical rain forest on the property and begin to conserve and regenerate biodiversity. The property currently has 20 acres of primary rainforest that will be preserved. San Buenas will actively nurture secondary rain forest trees and plantings that will attract scarlet macaws, toucans, monkeys and butterflies.

Master planning for the site is being done to offer long term sustainability by using engineered wetland wastewater treatment, recycling of waste water for golf course management, sewage biodigesters, and on-site storm water filtration. Regeneration of natural systems, low impact development, and long term preservation and stewardship are the goals at San Buenas.
