Neroli Salon and Spa Downtown
The relocation of the Neroli Salon & Spa Downtown location was an opportunity for the owners to bring their business, corporate offices and school – The Institute of Beauty & Wellness – under one roof. Having worked with our client on design of The Institute of Beauty & Wellness, we were well versed in their aesthetic and business philosophy which would ensure a positive result that would meet their needs.
The challenge on this project was in working with space limitations, and incorporating sustainable materials – all within a modest budget and design / construction timeline of three months. From both a sustainability and economic standpoint, materials from The Institute were saved and reused whenever possible, including restroom floor tile & fixtures, metal coil drapes, acoustical ceiling treatments, as well as quartz countertops, which were cut to fit onto new casework. Wood paneling is reclaimed Douglas Fir from water tanks in northern Wisconsin, and the salon flooring is cork, being both a renewable resource and comfortable for standing long periods of time. All wallcovering, chosen for it’s beautiful texture and durability, contains post-consumer recycled content. In the spa lounge, reclaimed wood, natural stone walls, the beautiful textures created by the shadows of the light fixtures, and the soothing qualities of a water feature trickling over pebbles all mingle to create a relaxing environment and spa experience.
