Kennedy Place
Madison’s historic Schenk-Atwood neighborhood offers an eclectic mix of urban places. TKWA was hired to design a new, traditionally-styled infill development that would be respectful of this unique and vibrant neighborhood.
The first floor contains shops, cafes, offices and the lobby/entrance for apartments above, engaging the streetfront with pleasing levels of scale and variety. Three levels of residential rental apartments sit atop the commercial first level with the top level set back from the face of the building to allow for terraces and to soften the scale. The building is placed over one level of structured below-grade parking.
