Growing Power Vertical Farm

Growing Power, Inc. is an internationally-recognized non-profit organization and land trust helping people from diverse backgrounds gain equal access to healthy, high-quality, safe and affordable food. The organization provides hands-on training, outreach, and technical assistance through the development of Community Food Systems that help people grow, process, market and distribute food in a sustainable manner.

Growing Power currently operates six greenhouses on a historic two-acre site that is the last remaining farm and greenhouse operation within the City of Milwaukee. As the organization has expanded, the need for additional space to support production, classes, meetings, meal preparation, offices, and on-site warehousing has grown exponentially. Growing Power and TKWA are currently working together to develop plans for an ambitious new facility, the world’s first working urban Vertical Farm.
