Cana Island Light Station

TKWA was hired to lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop a Historic Structure Report (HSR) for this prominent 1869 lighthouse located along Lake Michigan in Door County, Wisconsin. This document will provide the foundation for continued preservation of the buildings at Cana Island and will be an invaluable component to the long-term planning and preservation process for the site.

The completed HSR report offers recommendations on the most appropriate historic time period suitable for restoration and interpretation. In addition, the consultant team provided a brief written opinion on the advisability of completing a cultural landscape report at a later date.
